Rozwój metodologii wskaźników bezpieczeństwa drogowego w unijnej polityce transportowej

Abstract
The article discusses the issue of construction and use of road safety indicators in the European Union. Significant development of the methodology of construction of these indicators took place after 2000, and was the result of the then developed EU transport policy for 2000-2010. Within the framework of the SafetyNet project, the first manual of the “Safety Performance Indicators” (SPI) that provided the opportunity to measure, monitor and benchmark the effects of implementing various tools to improve road safety. These indicators have become an important component of EU road transport policy. Further development of research and research has allowed for the development of more complex road safety indicators and procedures and tools for monitoring the effectiveness of the various road safety measures.
