Abstract
Artykuł nie zawiera abstraktu w języku polskim. Over the last few years the mobile payment market has changed remarkably and now it is one of the fastest developing banking markets in Poland. Polish consumers have eagerly adopted mobile devices which serve them as tools of communication, sources of entertainment, navigation tools and payment methods. The move towards mobile payments is a global tendency. Polish banks have noticed this tendency and have invested in new applications which give consumers the opportunity to use their mobile devices for payments. The paper presents the main changes observed on the Polish mobile payment market in the last few years, banks' activities concerning mobile banking and Polish customers' opinion on mobile payments. It attempts to assess the perspectives of further development of the Polish mobile market.
