SACRED HALO, IN ISLAM’S PAINTING AND OTHER EASTERN RELIGIONS

Abstract
Sacred halo is the light in the face circles of the sacred characters. Halo was made in various colors and shapes in different religions. Then provides information and examples from the sacred halos taht found in the paintings of religions of eastern country, such as Mithraism, Buddhism, and Manichism. This research, first has made a study on the sacerd halos in the pictures of different religions. After looking at them in general, the chapters in Islamic paintings are more emphasized and explained in more detail with examples and examines in detail which forms are used in Islamic arts, what colors are used, and who is created around the face. In addition, are told about the halos in the Islamic painting and the changes and developments and experienced their in different periods. The halos in Islamic religious paintings and the halos of other religions are compared and differences are revealed.
