Sciatic nerve palsy following femoral interlock nailing. A case report

Abstract

Sciatic nerve palsy is rare complication of femoral nailing. We report a case of sciatic nerve palsy after femoral interlock nailing in the ipsilateral limb. Young male patient was managed by femoral interlock nailing for fracture of femoral shaft. Postoperatively sciatic palsy was noticed. Gradual incomplete recovery was noticed at end of three weeks.
