Selected aspects of pro-quality orientation in the management of Polish universities[b][/b]

Abstract
The first section of the paper discusses the role of knowledge in integrating pro-quality approach to management in academic environment and refers to the original development model proposed by the author. The second section presents the analysis how formalized quality management systems contribute to improvement of managing the modern university. The last section presents excel- lence models as the most advanced management tool for higher education institutions.
