Selected aspects of protecting the soil and water environment in the process of closing down communal waste deposits

Abstract

The article presents selected practical examples of activities aimed at protecting the soil and water environment in the vicinity of the closed down communal waste deposits. Some problems related to monitoring such deposits are also discussed. The examples were taken from the documentation developed by the authors, and refer to waste deposits which had to be closed down as they could not comply with the regulations in force.
