Selected Tools for Risk Analysis in Logistics Processes
Journal Title: Archives of Transport - Year 2012, Vol 24, Issue 1
Abstract
As each organization aims at managing effective logistics processes, risk factors can and should be controlled through proper system of risk management. Implementation of complex approach to risk management allows for the following: – evaluation of significant risk groups associated with logistics processes implementation, – composition of integrated strategies of risk management, – composition of tools for risk analysis in logistics processes.

Decision making scenarios in military transport processes
The dynamics of change in the contemporary world affect all areas including cross-border material flows. On the one hand, globalization has disseminated thought models and patterns of behavior based on decision patterns,...
Mechatronic simulator of lever driven wheelchairs
Development of the lever-driven wheelchairs by different authors resulted in creating various lever-human work conditions in which disabled people propel their wheelchairs. This fact implies varying efficiency of human’s...
Bionic shape design of electric locomotive and aerodynamic drag reduction
Bionics has been widely used in many fields. Previous studies on the application of bionics in locomotives and vehicles mainly focused on shape optimisation of high-speed trains, but the research on bionic shape design i...
Operational problems of 2+1 bypass road sections
The paper presents several problems of designing trunk-road bypasses of towns, which can be very helpful in improving their traffic performance. Such roads perform supplementary functions to the operation of network of m...
Personal rapid transit vehicle with polyurethane wheels – modelling and simulation issues
The article focuses special attention to the dynamic response of wheels – track interaction in Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) vehicle’s application. The main issue is the wheels/ track contact model for polyurethane treade...
