Selenium and autoimmune thyroid disorders

Abstract

Information about the importance of selenium for thyroid homeostasis, the role of selenium deficiency in the pathogenesis of autoimmune thyroid disorders and effectiveness of selenium-containing drugs in the treatment of thyreopathies with autoimmune origin is given in the lecture.
