Sequence analysis and Peptide Modeling studies on Aedes aegypti using Insilico tools and database
Journal Title: International Journal of Novel Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Year 2015, Vol 5, Issue 3
Abstract
Aedes aegypti is a vector for transmitting several tropical fevers. Only the female bites for blood, which she needs to mature her eggs. To find a host, these mosquitoes are attracted to chemical compounds emitted by mammals. The yellow fever mosquito belongs to the tribe Aedini of the dipteran family Culicidae and to the genus Aedes and subgenus Stegomyia. According to one recent analysis, the subgenus Stegomyia of the genus Aedes should be raised to the level of genus. In this Insilico research work, we select the potential protein target (defensin B). The identified peptides are responsible for yellow fever by Aedes aegypti mosquito. We focus on the molecular genetic information of Aedes aegypti, and based on literature studies we model the potential peptide sequence which is responsible for infection by Aedes aegypti in human beings. The modeled 3D structure of the peptide clearly shows the potential antigen binding sites which would be useful in structure based drug designing studies in future.

Identify the molecular functional regions and protein modeling studieson potential protein target (outer membrane component of tripartite multidrug resistance system) Sitophilus oryzae using in silico protocols
Despite extensive study, little is known about the origins of the mutualistic bacterial endosymbionts that inhabit approximately 10% of the world's insects. In this research we focus on the molecular functional regions a...
Structural Analysis and Molecular Mechanics of Pxr1 Gene which is Responsible For Zellweger Syndrome
Zellweger syndrome is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in genes that encode peroxins, proteins required for the normal assembly of peroxisomes. It causes a defect is the perioxisomes, which affects the...
Molecular Mechanics And Drug Docking Studies On Klebsheilla Pneumonia (Multidrug Efflux System Protein) Using Insilico Protocols
Klebsiella pneumonia is a necrotizing process with a predilection for debilitated people. It has a high mortality rate of approximately 50% even with antimicrobial therapy. The mortality rate approaches 100% for persons...
