Abstract

Sergey V. Kuz’minykh, a well-known archeologist in 2016, 65 years old. His monograph “The Volga-Kama Metallurgy in the early Iron Age (Copper and Bronze)” (1983) and his joint monograph with E.N. Chernykh “The Early Metallurgy in the Northern Eurasia: Seima-Turbino phenomenon” (1989) became classic studies on ancient metallurgy. Equally significant were his investigations of the Ananiyno world (IX–III centuries BC). Thanks to the efforts S.V. Kuzminyh in the field of history of science, the little known or completely unknown studies were discovered as well as correspondence and biographies of the archaeologists of the last century were published.
