Abstract

The birth of a child with disorder in sex development (DSD) poses a major psychological impact on the family and involves a specialized and experienced multi-disciplinary team to work with the family. There has been progress in diagnosis, surgical techniques and understanding psychosocial issues related to the management. The issue of sex assignment is so complex and challenging.
