Sexual Differentiation in Motor Fitness After Eliminating of Somatic Advantage of Men

Abstract

Basic somatic and body composition traits as well as results of practical entry exam in Academy of Physical Education in 1997 made the subject of presented study. The sample of 654 candidates, consisted of equal number of men and women, in twos having similar body height and mass, alike amount of body fat and comparable lean body mass was selected from the whole material. The motor fitness of candidates under study was estimated with the help of seven tests. Three methods of differences evaluation were used, namely: by Mollison, Fisher discrimination and Penrose's index. The differences obtained in values of these three criteria were then presented against a background of the whole material.
