Significance of Building Maintenance Management on Life-Span of Buildings
Journal Title: Robotica & Management - Year 2017, Vol 22, Issue 1
Abstract
The attentions and skills of maintenance are required for the construction of buildings in this twenty-first century. Because much architectural education is still focused on the one-of-a-kind assignment, encouraging the notion of personal fulfillment through leaving a mark for off-springs and obtaining a design award by means of concept drawings. Due to the reason that many building designers (architects, engineers, technicians) are not encompassed in the subsequent maintenance of the building, they just regard it as other specialists’ responsibilities. In all likelihood, the building user-to-be has no formal role: the building contractors just fulfill their accountabilities to complete the building in compliance with the contract documents, not to care occupier’s needs and wants. This paper will focus on the important of building maintenance management on the life-span of buildings.

Characterization of Rubbers from Spherical Punch - Plate Indentation Tests
Rubber plates with different compositions and hardness were tested by continuous indentation, using a spherical punch and hysteretic phenomenon was evidenced. The experimental data interpolation with polynomial function...
Feedback Control Design for a Walking Athlete Robot
In the paper, authors generalized the dynamic model of an athlete robot with elastic legs through Lagrange method. Then, a feed-back controller was designed to control the robot through a step-walking. The research just...
Optimal Allocation of Workstation Activities
In this paper we started from a case study in which we wanted to develop an own methodology of designing lower rank productions systems, and of simulation-optimization of production flows, using several software’s. Becau...
Application of Fuzzy Algorithm in Optimizing Hierarchical Sliding Mode Control for Pendubot System
Pendubot is a classical under-actuated SIMO model for control algorithm testing in laboratory of universities. In this paper, authors design a fuzzy-sliding control for this system. The controller is designed from a new...
A Functional Model of a Serial Redundant Robot
The paper presents the mobility calculation, geometry and kinematics of a robot arm. It is a serial robot whose main spatial kinematic chain consists of four revolute joints. Four continuous current electric motors are u...
