Simulating the binary variates for the components of a socio-economical system
Journal Title: Computational Methods in Social Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Often in practice the components Wj of a sociological or an economical system W take discrete 0 - 1 values. We talk about how to generate arbitrary observations froma binary 0-1 system B when is known the multidimensional distribution of the discrete random vector B. We also simulated a simplified structure of B given by the marginal distributions together with the matrix of the correlation coefficients. Different properties of the systems W are presented too.

Load profiles analysis for electricity market
In the wake of electric power system transition towards smart grids, and the adoption of the electric market schemes, electric utilities are facing the need of a better load profiles understanding for their customers. In...
The long-term causality. A comparative study for some EU countries.
Confronted with the inadequacies of the macro econometric models of Keynesian inspiration, Sims (1980) formulates the famous criticism of Sims and proposes a multivariate modelling, where the only limitations are t...
M1 and M2 indicators- new proposed measures for the global accuracy of forecast intervals
This is an original scientific paper that proposes the introduction in literature of two new accuracy indicators for assessing the global accuracy of the forecast intervals. Taking into account that there are not specifi...
The problem of allowing correlated errors in structural equation modeling: concerns and considerations
Results of structural equation models may be negated by inappropriate methodological procedures. Model fit is known to be improved by the addition of pathways. Some pathways are added due to modification indices. These a...
