Simulation and Development of Lighting Control System using daylight for Corridor of a Building

Abstract

Due to the increase of environmental concerns, lighting control systems definitely will play an important role in the reduction of energy consumption of the lighting without impeding comfort goals in future. Energy efficient corridor illumination in commercial and residential buildings is becoming increasingly important in the energy conservation era since corridor is the area where maximum energy can be saved. The paper includes the study of workspace and daylight simulations of the corridor using DIALux lighting simulation software. Based on this study, it also presents the design and development of energy efficient lighting control system for corridor. Finally paper concludes the energy saving due to developed system
