Simultaneous Estimation of Rosuvastatin Calcium and Ezetamibe in Tablet Dosage form by RP-HPLC

Abstract
A simple reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC)method has been developed and validated for simultaneous estimation of Rosuvastatin calcium(ROS) and Ezetamibe(EZE)in pharmaceutical dosage form. The chromatographic analysis was performed on a Hemochrom intsil C-18 coumn(250×4.6mm,5µm) with a ambient temperature with a mixture of phosphate buffer and Acetonitrile(25:75) v/v as mobile phase, the UV detection was 239 nm, with a flow rate 1ml/min.The retention times of ROS and EZE were 2.767 and 4.029 min respectively. The correlation coefficient of ROS and EZE was found to be 0.999.The linearity curves for the concentration ranges 20-100 ppm for ROS and EZE respectiveley. The Accuracy of the proposed method was determined by the recovery studies and was found to be 99.2% and 99.1%.The method was validated for accuracy, linearity, precision, LOD, LOQ of tablet form was successfully analysed and using the developed method and the proposed method is applicable to routine analysis for determination of Rosuvastatin calcium and Ezetamibe in pharmaceutical tablet dosage form.
