Skillful application of difference equation in a mathematical puzzle
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Physics, Mathematics and Statistics - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Unimportant and uncertain decisions can be made by flipping a coin in real-life. And apparently, toss a coin is a question of random probability. In the present paper, the author has made use of difference equation in solving a complicated probability problem of coin toss.

A Note on the Identity Element in a Function Space
This note demonstrates that the identity element in appropriately defined function spaces is weakly compact, but not compact; and bounded, but not weakly compact.
Some Particular Examples for the Natural Lift Curve in Minkowski 3-Space
In this study, we give some particular examples for the natural lift curves of the spherical indicatries of tangent, principal normal, binormal vectors.
Classification of All Single Traveling Wave Solutions to the BBMP Equation with dual Power-law
Under the travelling wave transformation, BBMP equation with power-law can be changed into ordinary differential equation. In this article, by using polynomial completely discriminant classification system ,we can give c...
On the Existence of Solutions to BSDES under Sublinear Grown Condition
In this paper, we study one-dimensional BSDE’s whose coefficient gis sublinear growth in z. We obtain a general existence result and a comparison theorem when g is linear growth in y and sublinear growth in z. Some known...
Students’ In-take Grade Index (SIGI): A Comparative Tool with CGPA in Determining the Level of Academic Impact during Tertiary Education
Ranking tertiary institutions provides a good motivation, since it engenders healthy competition among stakeholders to strive for excellence. The issue of concern now might be finding a fair measure of the various criter...
