Skillful application of difference equation in a mathematical puzzle
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Physics, Mathematics and Statistics - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 1
Abstract
Unimportant and uncertain decisions can be made by flipping a coin in real-life. And apparently, toss a coin is a question of random probability. In the present paper, the author has made use of difference equation in solving a complicated probability problem of coin toss.

Modular Approach in Teaching Mathematics: Quadratic Function
The use of self-instructional program plays an important role in teaching mathematics. Self-instructional program is useful not only to the fast learner group of students but also to the remedial teaching for low achieve...
The approximate solutions of the partial differential evolution equation by algebraic dynamics algorithm
We apply a new form of the infinitesimal time translation operator in algebraic dynamical algorithm to KdVBurgers equation and modified Bousinnesq and give their approximate solutions of at least second order.
A New Dimension Reduction Approach Based on Distance for Mixture Discriminant Analysis of the High-Dimensional Data
In this study, we proposed a novel dimension reduction approach for mixture discriminant analysis on based mixture of multivariate normal distributions of high-dimensional data. We considered case of a classification pro...
Calibration of Pipeline Friction Coefficient Based on Random Optimization
The changed friction resistance coefficient of the pipeline after the oilfield water injection pipe network system is used for a long term cannot reflect the actual conditions of the pipeline accurately. As the main para...
Observation on the Binary Quadratic Equation 3x2-8xy+3y2+2x+2y+6=0
The binary quadratic equation is studied for its non-trivial integral solutions. The recurrence relations satisfied by the solutions x and y are given. A few interesting properties among the solutions are presented.
