SKILLS AND ABILITIES AS A COMPONENT OF SUBJECT COMPETENCES OF PUPILS STUDYING BIOLOGY IN 6TH FORM

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of theoretical substantiation and methodological support for the skills and abilities creation as components of practical competences of the pupils who is studying biology in 6th form. There are characterized types of abilities and skills and the essence of mastering practical skills and abilities. The system of skills and abilities of applied nature is defined. It can be created during studying of different patterns and topics of the lesson. The article shows the improvement of biological education that is impossible without increasing the practical orientation of teaching all the subjects of the biological cycle, including botany. The necessary conditions for the successful generation of abilities and skills are revealed. There is a number of problems that need to be solved for successful implementation of a competent approach to the biology studying in general and the building of subject competencies in particular.
