SLC27A1 GENE POLYMORPHISM ANALYSIS IN RELATION TO MILK PRODUCTION TRAITS IN JERSEY COWS
Journal Title: Folia Pomeranae Universitatis Technologiae Stetinensis Agricultura Alimentaria Piscaria et Zootechnica - Year 2016, Vol 38, Issue 326
Abstract
The aim was to establish possible associations between the g.14791C>T and g.14589A>G SNPs in the SLC27A1 gene and milk production traits as well as somatic cell count in milk of Jersey cows. No significant associations were found between the genotypes and the analyzed traits. Further study on a larger number of animals is necessary to determine the potential effect of this SNP on the fat yield and fat content in milk.

DArT MARKERS LINKED WITH GENES CONTROLLING RESTORATION OF MALE FERTILITY IN HYBRID RYE CULTIVARS WITH IMPROVED POLLEN SHEDDING
In this study, we aimed to apply a high-throughput genotyping method to map genes important for the restoration of male fertility in a hybrid cultivar of rye containing the Pampa sterilizing cytoplasm. The diversity arra...
THE ROLE AND SCOPE OF FIELD STUDIES IN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTATION
Field studies have become a permanent feature of the environmental documentation system, which in turn has become a standard part of the investment process. The scope and depth of environmental impact assessment field st...
THE INFLUENCE OF IBA, IAA AND NAA ON ROOTING OF CELOSIA ARGENTEA VAR.CRISTATA (L.) KUNTZE IN VITRO CULTURE
The formation of adventitious roots is an essential step in vegetative propagation. Well-developed root system allows for easier and faster adaptation of plants to ex vitro conditions. The aim of this study was to determ...
EFFECT OF CALCIUM PEROXIDE ON OXIDOREDUCTASE ACTIVITIES IN SOIL CONTAMINATED WITH GASOLINE AND DIESEL OIL
This paper presents the study on assessment of the effect of calcium peroxide on activity of chosen enzymes: dehydrogenases, catalase and o-diphenol oxidase in soil contaminated gasoline or diesel oil. Laboratory experim...
THE ASSESSMENT OF WATER SANITARY QUALITY AND THE PRESENCE OF DRUG-RESISTANT Escherichia coli STRAINS IN WATERS USED FOR RECREATION IN LESSER POLAND
The presence of multi-drug resistant bacteria is no longer only a clinical problem because increasingly, during the microbiological water and soil analysis, the antibiotic resistant bacteria are isolated, which can be a...
