SLEEP AND ITS IMPACT ON HEALTH

Abstract
Sleep is an indispensable component of human health, playing a fundamental role in physical and mental well-being. This article presents an extensive review of sleep's impact on bodily functions, focusing on physiological restoration, cognitive processing, and mental health stabilization. Sleep deprivation, a common issue in modern societies, is shown to exacerbate numerous health problems, including cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and neurological dysfunctions. The findings emphasize the need for implementing effective sleep hygiene practices and educating the public about the critical importance of quality sleep for long-term health.
