slugFlexural Strength and Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity of Crushing Sand-Lime-Cement-Phosphogypsum Building Bricks Grade SW

Abstract

The present work focuses on the flexural strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity of crushing sand –lime-cementphosphogypsum building bricks grade SW. It is observed that these bricks have sufficient Ultrasonic pulse velocity. The relationship between ultrasound pulse velocity (UPV) with strength and water absorption of bricks was studied. The results suggest that there is a close relationship between UPV and mechanical properties and water absorption of full bricks. The correlations indicate the homogeneity of phosphogypsum and crushing sand based bricks grade SW produced under a pressure of 27 MPa.
