Small Intestinal Multiple Lipomatous Polyps: A CadavericCase Report

Abstract

Multiple lipomatosis has been reported to occurin males in between 4th and 6th decade oflife. Most occur in the ileum and ileoceacalregion with a small number in jejunum. Mostcommon mode of presentation is intussusceptionwith small bowel obstruction. While performingthe routine abdominal dissection byundergraduate students at B.I.M.S. Belgaum, theauthors came across a middle aged male cadaverhaving multiple sessile polyps of varying sizesfrom 10 mm to 20 mm in the lumen of entirelength of ileum and distal part of jejunum withnormal rest of the gut.
