Smart Micro-Climate Control System A Green House Farming Revolution

Abstract

The protected cultivation culture for crops plays a direct vital role in improving production and management. To observe the greenhouse environment parameters effectively, it is necessary to design a fully automatic control system. The goal of this paper is to design a simple user friendly, microcontroller-based module to analyze& record the values of humidity, temperature; soil moisture and sunlight of the environment that are continuously modified and controlled in order to adjust them for achieving maximum plant growth and yield. It links with the various sensor modules in real-time in order to regulate efficiently the light, drying and drainage process inside a Smart Micro-Climate Control System (SMCCS) house by actuating an exhaust fan, fogger, sprayer and lights respectively according to the necessary condition of the crops. An Information and Alert system is employed, which is used for real time display of data acquired from the various sensors and the status of the various devices. The design is quite versatile as the software can be update. Thus it can be suitable for the specific requirements of the user. This makes the proposed system to be portable, economical, and a low maintenance solution for protected cultivation applications, especially in countryside areas and for small scale agriculturists.
