SOCIAL EXPECTATIONS IN HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS

Abstract

The results of studies of social expectations of the individual in the interpersonal interaction are performed. The significance is stressed and the role of social expectations is shown as one of the most important and little-studied psychological phenomena. The assumptions of studying of social expectations of the individual are defined. It is indicated that the overall objective of the assignment is the basis of combining the functions of a functional system. The attention that the formation and development of personality take place in the activities, communication, interpersonal interaction and implemented through coordinated work of the functional system, but not of each function separately. It is marked that the allocation of each function of social expectations not an easy task, as they are located together in a symbiotic relationship. Following functions of social expectations are defined and studied: regulatory, intermediary, coordinating, orientation, prognostic, estimated, stabilization and transforming. It is emphasized that social expectations are able to act as a basic component of the system of regulation of individual behavior. It is concluded that functional system promote the construction of a model of the expected result of purposeful activity with reasonably achievable. It is summarixed that social expectations contribute to the establishment and development of the individual as a subject sуelf-activity.
