SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS OF THE MARKET IN THE SYSTEM OF UKRAINIAN ECONOMY’S SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE SECOND HALF OF 19th – EARLY 20th CENTURIES

Abstract
The article dwells upon the study of the process of changing social institutions. The purpose of the publication is to determine the specifics of the formation of market economy social institutions and their place in the system of social transformations in the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries; to reveal the interdependence of the transformation of stereotypes and norms of labor conduct, business communication, state social policy and the success of economic reforms. The author has applied institutional-evolutionary approach to the study of economic history. The market transformations of the Ukrainian economy of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries are considered. New phenomena in the field of labor relations, formation of market thinking, changes in labor ethics and transformation of norms of economic behavior are analyzed. The interrelation of the entrepreneurship development, the formation of the labor market, the stratification of society and social mobility is revealed. The nstitutionalization line of social and labor relations has been traced. The origins of the formation of social responsibility of entrepreneurs are presented. The evolution of the social relations model from patriarchal paternalism to the emergence of social partnership is shown. System formation of the social relations state regulation is considered. The historical experience of reforming the education system for the needs of the market is generalized. The formation of factory legislation is presented. The ideas of constructing a socially-oriented state in the works of Ukrainian economists of the 19th century are revealed. The role of social reforms in ensuring the economic transformations effectiveness is uncovered. The importance of state social policy in the conditions of the economic system transformation is justified. The preconditions and barriers of formation of the institution of social protection are shown.
