Abstract
This article is an attempt to show the continuous transformation of language in modern society through the emergence, development and penetration of social networks into all spheres of life, as well as their influence on the emergence of a new language subtype– network language. Systematic study and analysis of abbreviations, acronyms and neologisms borrowed from other languages, allows us to see how much the lexical composition of the language is changing. In addition, the semantics and polysemy of lexemes, the development of the most relevant semantic fields and lexical relations within them, are also of interest. The article reveals the notion of network language.
