Social Studies Teachers' Design and Use of Technological Materials

Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the current situation of social studies teachers regarding the design and use of technological materials in lessons. The research was conducted with the case study method, one of the qualitative research methods. The research study group consists of 15 social studies teachers, 6 female and 9 male, working in public secondary schools in Reyhanlı district of Hatay. The data collected through semi-structured interviews were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was found that most of the teachers follow technology through different social networks, On the other hand, they stated that they use smart boards in every appropriate unit to attract students' attention and ensure their participation in the lesson, and that the use of technology makes teaching easier and learning more permanent.
