Socioeconomic Status of Livestock Farmers of shirur Anantpal Taluka of district latur

Abstract

The study was conducted in Shirur anantpal taluka of Dist. Latur. Samples of 100 livestock farmers from 10 villages and from each village 10 livestock farmers were selected. Pretested questionnaires were used to collect data from livestock farmers. The present investigation indicates that majority of livestock falls into low to medium group. Therefore efforts should be made to provide them facilities like providing good pedigree cattle or buffalo breeds, veterinary services, knowledge of good fodder crops, teach them management skill for livestock etc. it will help to generate the job opportunity to the people of village level will not think to transfer from village to city as well as it will help to change the socioeconomic status of rural people.
