Software Defined Security Service Provisioning Framework for Internet of Things
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2016, Vol 7, Issue 12
Abstract
Programmable management framework have paved the way for managing devices in the network. Lately, emerging paradigm of Software Defined Networking (SDN) have rev-olutionized programmable networks. Designers of networking applications i.e. Internet of things (IoT) have started investigating potentials of SDN paradigm in improving network management. IoT envision interconnecting various embedded devices surround-ing our environment with IP to enable internet connectivity. Unlike traditional network architectures, IoT are characterized by constraint in resources and heterogeneous inter connectivity of wireless and wired medium. Therefore, unique challenges for managing IoT are raised which are discussed in this paper. Ubiquity of IoT have raised unique security challenges in IoT which is one of the aspect of management framework for IoT. In this paper, security threats and requirements are summarized in IoT extracted from the state of the art efforts in investigating security challenges of IoT. Also, SDN based security service provisioning framework for IoT is proposed.

Detection of Infected Leaves and Botanical Diseases using Curvelet Transform
The study of plants is known as botany and for any botanist it is a daily routine work to examine various plants in their research lab. This research efforts an image processing-based algorithm for extracting the region...
A Routing Calculus with Distance Vector Routing Updates
We propose a routing calculus in a process algebraic framework to implement dynamic updates of routing table using distance vector routing. This calculus is an extension of an existing routing calculus DRωπ where routing...
An Approach to Finding Similarity Between Two Community Graphs Using Graph Mining Techniques
Graph similarity has studied in the fields of shape retrieval, object recognition, face recognition and many more areas. Sometimes it is important to compare two community graphs for similarity which makes easier for min...
