Solar Chimney Power Plant-A Review
Journal Title: International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) - Year 2014, Vol 4, Issue 11
Abstract
Solar technology is the novel technology which uses the natural sunlight to produce electricity. It uses the combination of three simple technologies that is turbine, vertical chimney of some longer height and glass roof collector for absorbing the sun radiations. By proper utilization of this technology the electricity can be generated in abidance and continuously for twenty four hours throughout the year in county like India where there is sunlight almost for nine months in the major part of the country. Much advancement has taken place in this technology for last three decades but the full utilization of this technology has not taken place because of various aspects. This paper presents the critical review of this important technology in the form of the advancements and developments taken place in various parts of the world and analyzes its important aspects

A New Method Based On the Comparison of the Unique Chain Code to Detect Isomorphism among Kinematic Chains
This paper presents a new method for the detection of isomorphism in kinematic chains which plays an important role in structural synthesis of kinematic chains. The proposed method uses a new invariant i.e. a unique chai...
Economic efficiency calculation and Scenarios for the installation and direction of solar thermal systems at the example of a reference
Abstract: The article examines different possibilities of the installation and the azimuth of solar thermal systems on a rooftop at the example of a reference building. The outcome of a different azimuth and instal...
The Reliability in Decoding of Turbo Codes for Wireless Communications
Turbo codes are one of the most powerful types of error control codes and high performance forward error correction codes currently available. They will be used later in the thesis as powerful building blocks in ou...
A Novel Multi Port Dc/Dc Converter Topology Using Zero Voltage Switching For Renewable Energy Applications
This paper proposes a novel dc/dc converter topology that interfaces the non-conventional energy sources. It consists of four power ports: two sources (namely solar and wind), one bidirectional storage port, and on...
Repairing of Concrete by Using Polymer-Mortar Composites
Replacement of concrete buildings, bridges, roadways and other structures is becoming more and more expensive as costs of materials and labor continue their upward spiral. Polymermodified or polymer cement mort...
