Solution of Multi Objective Transportation Problem
Journal Title: International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development - Year 2021, Vol 5, Issue 4
Abstract
The transportation problem is one of the earliest applications of the linear programming problems. The basic transportation problem was originally developed by Hitchcock. Efficient methods of solution derived from the simplex algorithm were developed in 1947. The transportation problem can be modeled as a standard linear programming problem, which can then be solved by the simplex method. The objective of traditional transportation is to determine the optimal transportation pattern of a certain goods from supplier to demand customer so that the transportation cost become minimum and for this purpose we have different method for getting initial and optimal solution. We can get an initial basic feasible solution for the transportation problem by using the North West corner rule, Row minima, Column minima, Matrix minima, or the Vogel Approximation Method VAM . To get an optimal solution for the transportation problem, we use the MODI method Modified Distribution Method . In this paper we have developed an algorithm by fuzzy programming technique to solve multi objective transportation problem. We have also compared the result with raw maxima and EMV and show how the developed approach is more effective than other approaches. Sanjay R. Ahir | H. M. Application of Unified Power Flow Controller in Nigeria Power System for Improvement of Voltage Profile
With the increased rate of urbanization and industrialization, the Nigerian electric power system is being put under pressure, high power losses which has led to fluctuation in voltage level. In this work the Nigeria 330...
FEM Simulation of Clinching of Three Steel Sheets
Clinching is one of a method of mechanical joining processes. The clinching is a cold joining process and belongs to a group of plastic joining technology. A lot of materials are joined in car body production. Some parts...
Work Life Balance and Job Satisfaction among Educators of Higher Education Institutions in Dimapur District
The relationship between work life balance and job satisfaction was investigated in this study. It was also planned to look into the influence of certain demographic factors in predicting work satisfaction. The WLB scale...
The Expander Gas and Ammonia Ratio Influence on the Calcium Cyanamide Yield
For the first time, thermodynamic calculations based on relatively new physicochemical constants clarified the onset temperature of thermal ammonia decomposition, as well as the side chemical reactions probability betwee...
The Existence of Approximate Solutions for Nonlinear Volterra Type Random Integral Equations
In this paper, we prove the existence of solutions as well as approximations of the solutions for the nonlinear Volterra type random integral equations. We rely our results on a newly constructed hybrid fixed point theor...
