Sonolytic Degradation of Acid Blue 80 Dye

Abstract
In the present study, degradation of Acid Blue 80 (AB80) has been carried out by using Ultrasound Cavitation. The effect of various operating parameters such as effect of amplitude, effect of initial pH of solution, operating volume and effect of temperature on the degradation rates were studied. The 34.94% degradation of AB80 was found at the optimized conditions of amplitude, pH, temperature and volume of 75%, 2.5, 30 0C and 200 mL respectively.
