SPONTANEOUS REMISSION IN PATIENTS WITH ALCOHOLIC DEPENDENCE AT LATER AGE

Abstract
The article deals with the formation of remissions in alcohol dependence. Particular attention is paid to possible mechanisms of spontaneous remission. Two clinical cases of spontaneous remissions in patients with alcohol dependence without therapeutic remissions in history are presented. The issue of personal responsibility for the quality of life is considered as the main factor in the formation of spontaneous remission. Issues of the rehabilitation potential of patients with spontaneous remissions of alcohol dependence are discussed.
