Spread of fire through prefabricated elements with a wooden structure, using the example of a modern religious building

Abstract

Spread of fire through prefabricated elements with a wooden structure, using the example of a modern religious building. The paper discusses the use of wood in the new religious building constructed in place of a masonry church damaged by mining. Wood was used as the main construction and finishing material for the new church due to the fact that it has a high resistance to dynamic loads. For reasons related to fire safety, there was a need to test the flammable elements in the context of fire spread. The paper describes test methods and results.
