Artykuł zawiera opis średniowiecznej szachownicy na portalu kolegiaty św. Jana Chrzciciela w Myśliborzu, odsłoniętej podczas prac renowacyjnych w 2012 r. Portal znajdował się w pierwotnym kościele farnym pw. św. Piotra i Pawła, którego powstanie jest datowane na 2. poł. XIII w.
