Stability Investigation in the Optical Properties of Thermally Evaporated Ge5Se95-x Znx Thin Films
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN PHYSICS - Year 0, Vol 7, Issue 3
Abstract
Selenium-based chalcogenides are useful in telecommunication devices like infrared optics and threshold switching devices. The investigated system of Ge5Se95-xZnx (0.0 ‰¤ x ‰¤ 4 at.%) has been prepared from high purity constituent elements. Thin films from the bulk material were deposited by vacuum thermal evaporation. Optical absorbance measurements have been performed on the as-deposited thin films using transmission spectra. The allowed optical transition was found to be indirect and the corresponding band gap energy determined. The variation of optical band gap energy with the average coordination number has also been investigated based on the chemical bonding between the constituents and the rigidity behaviour of the systems network.

The Second Law, Gibbs Free Energy, Geometry, and Protein Folding
The fundamental physical law of protein folding is the second law of thermodynamics. The key to solve proteinfolding problem is to derive an analytic formula of the Gibbs free energy. It has been overdue for too long. Le...
Complex Impedance Measurements on the Steady State Behaviors of a 10-cell PEFC Stack
Experimental studies on the behavior of a Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cell (PEFC) stack were conducted by performing complex impedance measurements. Initially, the steady state characteristics of a 10-cell stack were measur...
Comments on errors of A simplified two-body problem in general relativity by S Hod And Rectification of General Relativity
Hod claimed to have a method to deal with a simplified two-body problem. The basic error of Hod and the previous researchers is that they failed to see that in general relativity there is no bounded dynamic solution for...
Computing a Counting Polynomial of an Infinite Family of Linear Polycene Parallelogram Benzenoid Graph P(a,b)
Omega polynomial was defined by M.V. Diudea in 2006 as  where the number of edges co-distant with e is denoted by n(e). One can obtain Theta Θ, Sadhana Sd and Pi Πpolynomials by replacing xn(e) with n(e)xn(...
FIELD INDUCED STUDIES IN CARBON NANOTUBES DOPED NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTAL MIXTURE
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) doped nematic liquid crystal (NLC) mixture of varying concentrations of CNTs in 0.0, 0.2 and0.5 wt./wt.% ratios have been prepared and studied. The effect of electric field on current behavior and...
