In the administrative organization of medieval Moldavian state an important role played Orthodox Church and its territorial structures Metropolitan and Episcopates. It’s known throughout the dispute over the recognition the Metropolitan Church of Moldavia by Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
