STATE AND PROSPECTS OF THE UKRAINIAN INSTITUTE OF STATE SYMBOLS

Abstract
The problems of the law on the use and protection of the state symbols of Ukraine have been analyzed. State symbols perform socio-political and representational functions that are important for its further existence. They symbolize the sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence and autonomy of the state, which distinguishes it among other actors in the political arena. Nowadays, the actual problem remains the need for constitutional approval of the State Emblem of Ukraine and legal regulation and description of the procedure for the use of the State Emblem of Ukraine and the State Flag of Ukraine. Uncertainty at the official level in the description of the state symbols of Ukraine, social and political principles, certification and other state continuity of the ideas of society and the state, which are covered through the state symbols, overburdens the unified perception and may cause various explanations; hinders the formation of state-building and national traditions, which are necessary for the formation of political, ideological and patriotic goals of society and the state in general. Proper and timely solution to the problems of the state symbols of Ukraine – is a considerable progress towards Constitutional, United and Independent Ukrainian State.
