State Participation in Space Activities: Some Legal Approaches and Implications

Abstract

Evolution: the article analyzes the norms of international law that relate to the responsibility of the state and other subjects of international law in the pursuit of such types of space activities as remote sensing of the Earth from outer space, provision of satellite broadcasting, prevention and elimination of emergency situations, use of nuclear energy sources in outer space. The questions of the international legal personality of the state in realization of applied types of space activity are studied, the following forms of the international legal responsibility of the state as political and material are considered.
