State Sector of Economy in Foreign Countries and Problems of the National Sector

Abstract
The article considers the condition of the domestic state sector of economy in developed countries, its rights, role, essence of national models and branch positions. It identifies main shortcomings in its formation, in particular, mistakes that were made by the Ukrainian power during privatisation of economy, policy of price formation on products and services of natural monopolies, low efficiency of operative management of state enterprises, and absence of effective state support of enterprises of the state sector. In order to increase efficiency of functioning of the national state sector, the article considers experience of developed countries. In the result a conclusion is made that the state should be a big economic subject that fills in the state budget by means of participation in the market economy. The article also shows that the state- private partnership, which is an indispensable factor of infrastructure development, attraction of private investments and introduction of innovations, should become an important institutional form of market economy.
