Static Suspension Technique with Fascia Lata for Facial Reanimation in Facial Palsy

Abstract

Introduction: Facial paralysis patients often present with many secondary problems which leads to a number of possible algorithms in their treatment. In cases where the patient is unresponsive to, or cannot undergo, medical treatment, facial reanimation techniques are often employed. Used in the proper situation with the proper category of patient, static facial suspension methods are extremely effective. In this report, we discuss the fascia lata static suspension technique and its capability of reanimation of a facial paralysis patient.
