STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MIGRATION PHENOMENON
Journal Title: Revista Romana de Statistica - Year 2010, Vol 58, Issue 11
Abstract
On the basis of economic conditions being devalued in Romania, more and more persons were forced to fi nd a work place – be it temporary or permanent – outside of the country’s borders. This phenomenon of international migration has, as a main effect, the emergence of a special category of persons, respectively that of children left behind under the care of one of the parents or of other people. The situation of these minors is extremely difficult because, lacking the careful supervision of their evolution by their parents, they are frequently confronted with problems of social adaptation, with learning difficulties and even with situations of willful breaking of legal norms.
