Statistical Inference Based on Upper Record Values for the Transmuted Weibull Distribution
Journal Title: International Journal of Mathematics and Statistics Invention - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 9
Abstract
In this study, we have considered estimation of unknown parameters based on upper record values for Transmuted Weibull distribution with three parameter.Maximum likelihood and approximate Bayes estimators based on upper record values for unknown parameters of this distribution are obtained. Tierneykadane approximation is used to obtain approximate Bayes estimatorsunder squared loss function based on upper records. Also, biases and mean square errors of these estimators are compared with a Monte Carlo simulation study. Finally,a data analysis is presented on real data set which fit to transmuted Weibull distribution.

A Non-Uniform Bound Approximation of Polya via Poisson, Using Stein-Chen Method and Ω –Function and Its Application in Option Pricing
In this work, the Stein-Chen method and the ω-function associated with Pόlya random variable are used to obtain a non-uniform bound approximation of Pόlya by Poisson in terms of point metric and Pόlya distribution applie...
A Minimum Spanning Tree Approach of Solving a Transportation Problem
This work centered on the transportation problem in the shipment of cable troughs for an underground cable installation from three supply ends to four locations at a construction site where they are needed; in which case...
Monte Carlo Simulation with Variance Reduction Methods for Chained Option
Monte Carlo simulation with the variance reduction methods is generally more efficient than general Monte Carlo simulation because variance reduction method causes small standard deviation. In this paper, we compare two...
