STATUS AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BANKING SYSTEM OF UKRAINE

Abstract
Author analyzes the current condition and trends of the development of the banking system of Ukraine in the article. The problems of the formation and development of the banking sector are characterized, the main stages of its formation are determined. The main indicators characterizing the financial situation and the level of stability of the banking system are determined, the role and functions of the National Bank of Ukraine and the Deposit Guarantee Fond in the process of recovery of domestic banks are determined, the main directions of further reformation of the banking system of Ukraine are grounded.
