Sterilization and Upkeep of Laparoscopic Instruments and Equipment

Abstract

Sterilization is the absolute elimination or destruction of all forms of microbial life including spores. The aim of effective sterilization is to provide sterile product to the surgeon and to the patient. On the other hand disinfection is the relative removal of pathogenic organisms except spores.
