STRENGTHENING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF NON-WASTE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION SUBJECTS

Abstract

The widest implementation of non-waste technologies in agro-industrial production is the key to the functioning of a competitive agro-industrial complex. Therefore, an increase of the competitiveness of non-waste agricultural production subjects becomes especially important. The article defines the the following factors as inhibiting the increase of competitiveness of non-waste production entities in the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine: the non-application of achievements of scientific and technological development; lack of the systematic management of the field of non-waste agricultural production performed by the state; lack of financial support for non-waste agricultural activities; non-use of modern achievements of scientific and technological revolution etc. It has been defined that an increase of competitiveness of non-waste agricultural production in the domestic and world markets is a multifaceted task which can be achieved through the systematic implementation of a set of directions: – systematic administration of the sphere of non-waste agricultural production performed by the state; – implementation of advanced resource-saving, environmentally friendly technologies of non-waste production and achievements of the scientific and technological revolution, an improvement of the quality of design development and modernization of production processes; – improvement of the quality of agricultural products and their compliance with international and domestic standards; – development of processes of combination, specialization, concentration, co-operation in the organization of non-waste agricultural production; – investing in: scientific and technical research, development of non-waste technologies, personnel and equipment – acquisition and proper knowledge management of staff and leaders; – shaping of effective relations in the "state-business" system. The author has come to the conclusion that the competitiveness of the subjects of non-waste agricultural production is determined by the availability of technical, economic and organizational conditions for the creation of non-waste production and sales of high quality products that meet the requirements of specific groups of consumers. The development of non-waste agricultural production is possible on the basis of weighed steps aimed at an increase of competitiveness which is perceived as a driving force for the development of business entities in the agro-industrial complex.
