STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF COMPETITION IN THE BANKING SECTOR OF UKRAINE

Abstract
This article is about evaluation of competition o the market in the banking sector. The main objective of this article is to present the theoretical background of it and its practical use. The analyze of competition in Ukrainian banking sector using nonstructural approach is given in the paper and the Herfindahl-Hirschman index, concentration ratio of three and ten largest banks, dispersion, Hall-Tideman (Rosenbluth) index, the ratio of relative concentration and entropy for Ukrainian market of deposit accounts and loans to individuals and corporate clients are calculated.
