The addresser in the study is an international TV channel TLC that broadcasts under the slogan «Life Surprises». The addressee is a modern woman, food lover, blogger, interested in parenting, home improvement, and humaninterest stories. The analysis of the structure of the English names of TV shows has demonstrated that structurally the names are mostly composed and are represented by nouns combined with other nouns, adjectives, numerals, pronouns, and verbs. The distinctive feature of the analyzed names of TV shows is a freuent use of numerals, personal and possessive pronouns, which proves «personal touch» typical of the TLC program content strategy. The analysis of the motivation has allowed to distinguish predominantly essential-ualitative, essential-ualitative-possessive, essential-possessive types. The dominant essential type enables to assume that such TV names are narrative, unveiling the plot; other names are associative based on associations with famous names; few are symbolic. The analysis of the vocabulary has allowed to group the lexis around ten topics, ranking «family» and «body» top two, which meets the profile of the channel’s addressee. pragmatically, the TV names are informative and appealing, regulating the physical and intellectual activity of the addressee.
