STRUCTURE, FUNCTION AND EVOLUTION OF Serratia marcescens ENDONUCLEASE
Journal Title: Journal of Experimental Biology and Agricultural Sciences - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
The Gram-negative enterobacterium Serratia marcescens produces a variety of hydrolases that are secreted into the surrounding medium, among them some are highly active DNA/RNA nonspecific endonuclease. This nuclease has been the focus of studies on its mechanism of action, its substrate preferences, its protein structure and its application in industrial biotechnology. Up to date several closely and more distantly related nucleases are known that together form a Serratia nuclease superfamily. Here we briefly review these different aspects of research regarding the work on Serratianuclease.

Histopathological features of cutaneous tumours arising from the vascular endothelial cells in dogs
Cutaneous growths arising from the endothelial cells of blood vessels were studied in three dogs (Two in male cocker spaniels and one in male Labrador). All the three growths were surgically excised and referred to the D...
CHARACTERIZATION OF ENDOPHYTIC BACTERIA WITH PLANT GROWTH PROMOTING ACTIVITIES ISOLATED FROM SIX MEDICINAL PLANTS
The present investigation aimed to isolate and characterize endophytic bacteria from six selected medicinal plants (Ocimum sanctum, Aegle marmelos, Cinnamomum cassia, Azadirachta indica, Calotropis procera and Rauwolfia...
Genotype × Environment interactioon in Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) under Afghanistan environments and identification of high yielding genotypes
To meet the growing demand of food and protein of Afghan population, winter-sown chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is an important contributor but its productivity needs to be increased. Therefore this study was conducted to...
Biomass production and quality estimation of chlorella vulgaris (clv2) under large scale production conditions
Present study was conducted for large scale biomass production of Chlorella vulgaris CLV2. Further, level of lipid, crude protein, chlorophyll content were also analysed for this produced biomass. In this study, two carb...
Performance of wheat cultivars under irrigated late sown condition
Delay in time of sowing in rice-wheat cropping system is perhaps the one of the major factors responsible for low crop yield. An experimenton the wheat cultivars viz.DBW 14, BR 934, HI 1563, HD 2985 and NL was conducted...
