STRUCTURE OF GROUPS OF EIGENFREQUENCIES IN SPECTRA OF GEOMAGNETIC PULSATIONS IN THE NIGHTSIDE MAGNETOSPHERE
Journal Title: Solar-Terrestrial Physics - Year 2022, Vol 8, Issue 3
Abstract
Using a new method of correlation function for amplitude and phase fluctuations (APCF), records of geomagnetic field component fluctuations (observatories Mondy and Borok) have been processed for a number of hour zones of the nightside magnetosphere. This method is meant to detect groups of equidistant frequencies inside the spectrum of source signal and also to measure a difference between two neighbor frequencies in each of these groups.

Ponderomotive redistribution of heavy ions along a magnetic field line
We set up the problem of ponderomotive separation and acceleration of ions with different charge-to-mass ratios under the influence of Alfvén waves, which constantly exist in the magnetosphere in the form of geomagnetic...
STATISTICAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN VARIATIONS OF THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD, AURORAL ELECTROJET, AND GEOMAGNETICALLY INDUCED CURRENTS
Using observations from the IMAGE magnetic observatories and the station for recording geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) in the electric transmission line in 2015, we examine relationships between geomagnetic field...
OBSERVATIONS OF SMALL-SCALE ENERGETIC EVENTS IN THE SOLAR TRANSITION REGION: EXPLOSIVE EVENTS, UV BURSTS, AND NETWORK JETS
In this paper, we review observational aspects of three common small-scale energetic events in the solar transition region (TR), namely TR explosive events, ultraviolet bursts and jets. These events are defined in either...
Ground-based observations of the VLF auroral hiss at Lovozero and Barentsburg observatories
The paper presents the results of the analysis of auroral hiss bursts, measured at Lovozero and Barentsburg observatories. These points are located on close geomagnetic meridians in the auroral and circumpolar zones. The...
Observation at radio frequencies of the hydroxyl (OH) absorption line in filaments and prominences above active regions of the Sun
When observing the Sun with RATAN-600 radio telescope using a spectropolarimetric complex in the range 1–3 GHz, as well as when observing coronal rain, absorption in the radio emission was discovered in the spectral regi...
